 | Comments: |
Sawyer River Road is mashed potatoes from snowmobiles. Bare boots, spikes or snowshoes worked today. Signal Ridge Trail saw a few inches of new snow. Spikes worked until near the stream crossing where the trail softened with the new snow and rising temps. Snowshoes went on from there to the summit and back. There was a good snowshoe track, with little drifting, and loosely consolidated conditions. With warming temps this week and weekend, snowshoes will be needed to avoid postholing the trail. |
