Great conditions all around today. Old bridle and falling waters are nicely packed, firm, and stable from top to bottom, spikes worked fine all the way. Above treeline is mostly hard crusted snow or ice with surprisingly very little drifting or powder. The upper cone of Lafayette is more glaciated and moderate traction (hillsounds or crampons) made it a little more comfortable to traverse. Two others were in snowshoes and one was in regular spikes and no one appeared to have any issues though. Other than that, the ridge is in great mid winter condition as of today
