Comments
Comments: Only needed Osceola this month so made the decision to come in from the Tripoli Road side. Tripoli Road was packed solid, was able to bare boot off to the side all the way to the trailhead. Then the fun began - an unrelenting mashed potatoed, post-holed slog up to the summit, though the stunning late afternoon light and great views through the trees tempered the agony. Made the fogged in summit by dark and thought the way down might be easier, but no - slipped and slid all the way to the trailhead parking lot. Kept the shoes on for the road walk and would recommend them if you chose this way.
