Not the most enjoyable hike. Trail was a mess from others' post holes, including fresh postholes from a couple coming down as we were heading up. Luckily they had turned around after a mile, so the upper mile was more pleasant. Even with snowshoes, the snow was very soft and wet, and steps were unstable. We were planning to go to the Oak Ridge-Mt. Parker col (jct. w/ Mt. Parker Trail), but stopped at the high point before the descent to the col. I'll clean up that 0.3 when I do Parker/Stanton in summer. Same for the 0.4 Cave Mtn Path -- decided to leave it for summer. I've never been known to leave miles undone. Who knows.. maybe I'm just not ready to finish red lining/tracing. What will I do when it's over? |
