Comments
Comments: Beautiful day and perfect conditions! Spikes were fine from trailhead to Tom, though there is one small section of A-Z close to the spur that’s getting torn up. Otherwise, conditions were crunchy and fast. From the end of Tom Spur to Willey and back to Willey/Avalon intersection, snowshoes recommended. The snow is much softer, minor drifting, and lots of post holes. Several large holes on Willey Range to avoid. Down Avalon is getting slick from lots of buttsledding. Spikes recommended here, I was slipping in my snowshoes.
