Trail completely covered with snow. Icy spots were insignificant and never an issue or hazard. We wore micro spikes for the first 2 miles and snowshoes all the way up from there and back down to the 1 mile mark. Most hikers (20+) used micro spikes the entire way, but we were somewhat breaking trail. River crossing were mostly frozen making it easy. It got warm in the afternoon and the snow was getting moist in the lower elevations. It was a clear and beautiful day. The views were amazing. |
