Trail was a little soft, but fairly well packed bottom to top as long as you were headed to Cabot. Headed anywhere else was going to be a challenge. Snowshoes definitely the best choice even on the established track. Deviating even slightly left or right of the track meant postholing. You could do it in spikes if you had to, but not recommended. There are also some drifty areas on this route that can catch you out. Overall, a fast day! |
