Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The parking lot is plowed but the open area is narrow and there is room for head-in parking on one side and parallel parking on the other. Therefore some folks parked out on the Kanc.

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: My Silky saw was very happy that we found two blowdowns to remove. I was very happy that the trail relocation, around the muddy section, is being used exclusively. And, that the drainages (including the major one around Willow Rock, which is 0.6 miles up from the loop junction on the East side) are draining.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw 4 today. It’s a great trail for dogs.

Comments
Comments: Counterclockwise today. Snowshoes took a ride in my pack, because the middle of the trail was surprisingly firm. Lots and lots of postholes throughout but no one seemed to be postholing today. Slushy on the East Ledges, due to the bright sun and warm temperatures. It’s supposed to stay warm, this week, so I would definitely recommend bringing your snowshoes - I don’t think the firm trail conditions will last long.
