Comments
Comments: Table Mountain with a group of six.

Bear Notch Rd. was a non-stop snowmobile superhighway today, some of whom were barely slowing down; bare boots or spikes are fine on the road.

At the Attitash trailhead we were met with one set of frozen snowshoe tracks. This made walking awkward and more often than not we set down our own parallel track. Snowpack was crusty and mostly supportive in the morning but also not without surprise breaks. The descent in the early afternoon had softened considerably. Snowshoes are definitely needed for the foreseeable future with the ongoing spring-like temps. The snow pack is NOT solid enough for bare boots or spikes.

A very warm day on the mountain for February. No wind meant we could hang out on the ledges for a bit to enjoy the crystal-clear views.
