Comments
Comments: Set bearing for summit and started bw on large logging road that soon took us by an abandoned travel trailer that is visible from the main road. Logging road soon petered out and we walked through annoying young growth for a few minutes, after which we entered open woods. At 1400’ we encountered a groomed snomo trail that we followed N a short while. Here we turned E on an ungroomed, well traveled snomo trail until approx 1600’. At this point the main trail continued S, but we turned E to follow a rogue snomo path that traveled straight up a whippy skidder road, stopping just below wind turbine W5. We then followed the service road to turbine W4. The recognized high point is just N of the turbine.
Surface conditions - rather unsupportive crust on the uphill, completely unsupportive on the downhill.
Woods density - open woods, whippy young growth
Grades - all easy
