Great day for a hike! Wind was doable by the time we reached the summit. Sun was warm and truly magnificent conditions for hiking. Trail is packed down for the most part, but mashed potatoes in many spots made for less than ideal ascents and decents along areas of trail. Postholes are large, but easily avoidable. Views…spectacular!
Our snowshoes and dogs winter coats (as well as mine) went for a ride today. Micro spikes start to finish. We did see come people opting for snowshoes, crampons and micro spikes but no bare boots based on my count. |
