Only section that might be a challenge for pups is the Avalon after it leaves the AZ junction and heads up towards Field. |

As one might expect, these trails get lots of traffic and today were like sidewalks. Well packed but the steeps required some traction. No one I saw was wearing snow shoes today. Fast hiking for sure. Probably saw thirty hikers on my traverse. Won't be long before these trails are sheets of ice with all the sledding going on. |
