 | Comments: |
A few icy spots, some bare spots particularly the upper part of Sugarloaf Trail. Mostly firm snow in morning becoming mushier in afternoon. Imitation Microspikes worked fine except for gully on back side of Little Sugarloaf which was iffy, nervous types might want real crampons or a rope. Trail mostly packed with boots although there are a few snowshoe tracks. Some potential postholing at top and bottom of Sugarloaf if snow gets softer, but less than a foot of snow except drifts. Saw one snowmobile but enough bare ground on snowmobile trail that it might be closed if it doesn't snow more. |
