Comments
Comments: Arrived at the unmarked trailhead just in time to talk to a barebooter. I asked if the trail was postholed and he said snowshoes would be a good idea. Indeed, he had postholed all the way to the summit and back, sometimes postholing through the previously packed trail into standing/running water.

I did what I could to clean up the mess with my snowshoes, but the surface isn't great. Hopefully it evens out before it freezes up tomorrow. Still a foot or more of snowpack in places. Snowshoes needed for easiest passage and to leave a better footbed for future users.

Cloudy afternoon with temperatures in the 40s. Not sure what tonight/tomorrow will bring, but today's blowtorch wasn't as bad as it forecast few days ago.
