 | Comments: |
Trail essentially in shoulder/mid-March conditions. Grippy thin ice coverage lower half in the hardwoods, then some ice flows through the area near "Spruce Outlook" with one particularly sketchy flow that could send you straight off a cliff. Upper half is icy packed snow, but it's fairly churned up and ankle turning with intermittent postholes from bareboot traffic during thaw periods. Manageable today with SHARP microspikes the whole way. If temperature warms the upper half could require snowshoes to prevent further churning/postholes. |
