 | Comments: |
Started at Ammo and cruised up to the hut - fast conditions. Trail was difficult to follow once out in the open and below the hut. The trail to Monroe was also difficult to follow, however, the hard packed snow made it easy to reach the summit and descend. From the Hut to Washington it was hard packed and large patches of ice. Hillsound micro spikes were sufficient but with deliberate steps for grip. Down the cog -that is a different story. Hard pack but also with ice. Slow going because of the side angle, but doable. Great day out - sun all day and the wind. Can't forget the wind! Trails are in great shape. |
