Took south ridge to Lowell and it was long & steep, skirted around the east side of Anderson since we got that one a few weeks ago and came out on the north side of Norcross Pond. The climb to Nancy was the easiest part of the day. Dropped off the north side of Nancy and up to Bemis. Much easier to find the old trail going off Bemis (toward Nancy pond trail) coming from Nancy. Encountered some pockets of thick spruce along the way but nothing too terrible. Conditions were perfect for bushwhacking and my trusty Tubbs served me well once again. By the end of the day the snow was getting soft so back to the trails until things firm up again. |
