 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Not safe to drive up the slick road which was steep in spots. Multiple trucks were inching nervously down the road with people walking next to the trucks supporting them by hand. There was also an accident where one car slipped into another at the parking lot. Park on the main road and do the road walk in. |

 | Comments: |
A very packed sidewalk all the way up. Careful to not step off trail or you'll posthole. We didn't use snowshoes or crampons but I could see using crampons at the very icy top or on the road walk for extra security. Snowshoes could be useful on the less trodden parts or if you're worried about postholing off to the side of the narrow packed trails. Carriage coming down looked like an icy, wide ski trail. Consider bringing a sled! |
