Comments
Comments: Cold, windy morning!

Trail was hard packed and pretty darn smooth. The only frozen post holes present were from where people had stepped off trail.

A shorter hike mileage wise, but it packs a punch with the steepness. The first 1.25 miles is a punisher. There were some icy sections on the steeps. I was happy I wore my crampons. most people were heading up in micros which were fine, but I appreciated the extra bite, especially on the descent.

Once breaking treeline for the open section, the wind picked up from there to the summit. Wind on the tower was pushing me all over the place.

Climbing the tower was probably the sketchiest part of the day- the ice and snow had frozen into the steps, so they weren't quite steps, but not quite a smooth slope either. be cautious, especially on the way down.
