Coop had a good time, pretty easy walking on Snomo trails, and the B/W was not difficult. Most water crossings were via wooden bridges, and we didn't stop to get water from the flowing creeks below. Brought water instead. |

Mill Brook Rd (snowmobile trail) FR93, FR93B, Twenty Five Dollar Snomo, bushwhack
Great walk away from crowds, but close to home, not another soul on the trails. Dragged my husband on this one since the grades were pretty gradual, and the distance was not long. Barebooted all the way up to the bushwhack. Snowmobile trails were easy to follow; some ice, but easily avoided since the trails were so wide and packed. FR93B shortcut between the snowmobile trails was not traveled, but the snow was supportive and we only sunk in maybe an inch or so. The twenty Five Dollar trail (extension of the Mt Mitten trail) had lower snow coverage, more ice, and a few more bare spots (& mud) but these were easily avoided. The Bushwhack was through open woods, and very gradual; levels off just before the summit, canister was not immediately visible on the backside of the tree. Looks like we were the first up there this year. We returned the same route. |
