| Comments: |
We only met two other people on the trail today. The section on Haystack Road is a hard-packed snowmobile trail but the snow was a thin layer. We met the landowner of the driveway/gravel road that forms part of this hike (at the end of Little River Rd). He was pleased to hear that word is getting around for everyone to remove all microspikes/traction when they cross the two wooden bridges on his aforementioned driveway. We used bare boots from the motel to the beginning of the Fire Warden's Trail. We used light traction from there to the summit & back to the driveway/gravel road. |
