Comments
Comments: Trail remains in excellent shape from a healthy dose of snowshoe traffic before the current thaw/freeze weather pattern took effect. This side of the mountain is in much better shape than Cross Rivendell Trail which becomes very uneven higher up, and has very patchy, icy coverage down low. This trail is either grippy ice, or very hard packed snow. Infrequent postholes off the edge of the track and occasionally in the track, but overall in very good shape. Microspikes used for the entirety of the hike. Carried snowshoes, but did not need to use them at any point. Will likely need snowshoes again after the big storm comes through on Thursday.
