River crossing was tricky. River was pretty low so risk factor seamed reasonable. Some solid snow covered areas with areas of stepping on rocks in running water between. Also some spots where ice held but were pretty thin. |

Trail was solid with some post holes but they were easily avoided. We were able to hike in just spikes but carried snow shoes. We never post holed unless we stepped off to the side of the trail. No summit today, we just hiked to the first view area. |
