Comments
Comments: What a day to eek out a hike before the storm. The windchills that were forecasted weren't to be thankfully. The overnight snowfall that was suspected at the upper el's didn't happen either. Light traction from start to finish and the snowshoes seemed to enjoy their ride. There was bright sun and magnificent 360 views including very clear views of the northern Presi's. The trail was hard packed from start to finish with the usual post holes on the edges; all easily avoided and probably much more avoidable after the incoming snow fills in the trail. Nevertheless, there's a solid base for the next round of snowshoers to break out the trail.
