Snowshoes from the lot. Two of us were the only ones on the trails today. We took the herd path connector off the sno-mo trail from the lot. There is about 4" of new snow down low increasing to 8"+ higher up with some deeper drifts. Be aware there are some deep frozen postholes lurking under the fresh snow, and some hard blue ice especially in the steeper areas.
The winds were whipping all day. With this light powdery snow I would expect the much of trail to be drifted back in by now. If doing this tomorrow snowshoes would be the best option. |
