Snow - Unpacked Powder |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Only real crossing is bridged. However, there are 30+ micro streams crossing these trails (I counted) which are a minor annoyance in snowshoes. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails in good shape. Also, the trail from the cabin to the summit is well blazed. |

 | Comments: |
There was only about 6" of fresh powder on the trails with some deeper drifts between the cabin and summit. Despite all the little stream crossings and a multitude of postholes (I packed a few of them down) hidden below the powder (and the cold and the wind), this was one of the best hikes I've had this winter (at least weekly). The trails are absolutely lovely right now. It looks like there are 3 snowshoe tracks on the trails going into the weekend. Please use snowshoes. |
