Parking lot unplowed, few inches of snow that have been carved up by tires. My Fit was fine but I wouldn't try it without winter tires. |

I barebooted to Blue Job although spikes might have been more comfortable on the steeper bits of the south loop, where there was some substantial ice. Snowshoes went on for the Pond Trail, mostly for traction although the few inches of soft snow made the snowshoes a better choice than spikes. Probably would have been barebootable all the way out from Little Blue Job but kept the snowshoes on the the car.
The section of the south loop coming down to Little Blue Job Trail looked like it also would have been good to have snowshoes, for anybody doing the shorter loop.
Great day, very clear, easy view up to the rockpile. |
