Comments: Fantastic day for WTF! Went up Avalon trail and hit Mt Tom last. Trail up to Field was pretty well packed down but I still opted for snowshoes from almost the beginning to take advantage of the elevators - it made the steeps so much better! Trail out to Willey was a bit choppy in spots but had been packed out since the last storm. I passed a few groups heading out that way but only some people had snowshoes on so it might not be super consolidated yet. It was windy on the ridge which was also causing drifting - I recommend snowshoes on this trail until it’s packed down more. Headed over to Tom and again used snowshoes the whole way due to the active snow falling. The hike out on A-Z was easy and snowshoes are probably the best choice for that trail as well. Overall a very nice hike for a snowy day!
