 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Trail was only half full when we got there at 12:30pm. We had a bit of difficulty in my 2WD sedan getting up the entrance of Clinton Rd. and in to the lot, but we made it and actually had an easier time getting out. There were definitely some deeper, softer patches that my car struggled with. |

The trail was well packed and easy to do in microspikes. There were a few steeper spots that something with a bit more bite would have come in handy, but overall, still very doable in microspikes. We brought the snowshoes just in case, and if you feel like taking the time to swap over, the route up to the summit is far less packed or well defined, so snowshoes certainly couldn't hurt. That said, it's a short trip up to the summit, so we just stuck it out in our microspikes [could have put snowshoes on at the trailhead!]. No views to speak of, but plenty of snow. |
