 | Comments: |
With the newly fallen and still falling (lightly) snow, snowshoes were essential. Spikes would have been as useless as a submarine with screen doors. The crampons on the snowshoes made it easy to get up and over the snow covered ice sections on the top end of Fishin' Jimmy, and on KRT as it ascends Cannon. I broke trail, solo, for most of the day. Saw one other hiker coming down from Cannon as I was going up. What with the wind out there, our tracks were filling in, but with the snow slowing down, you should at least see the snowshoe tracks to guide you. Enjoy! |
