Comments
Comments: Back up Blueberry Mtn Trail - my tracks from yesterday were completely obliterated and well drifted over from the wind and snow last night.
There was one gentleman ascending as I descended Long Pond Road so there should be some track to follow until more snow blows in.

Departed the summit of Blueberry into easy/open conifer forest. Spotted a pair of moose ~25' away as I was departing the evergreen and entering the hardwood, just after the col of the two mountains - I gave them space and went well around them to the west then northwest - and watched my back for a while! I followed their tracks which meandered all over the open hardwood grove. Continuing northwesterly along the Hogsback Ridge the open hardwood became mixed but still super easy to navigate and travel, easy going despite ~8" of powder on all that freeze/thaw crust from the warm spell.

I could still discern the old forest road (Jeffers Mtn Trail) in places despite being erased from WMNF maps during the early 40's, easy to spot the road/path down on the Hogsback as well.

The summit canister was easy to locate but the cap is seized and will not budge. Went briefly further north before calling it a day and bushwhacking through easy-going hardwood forest to the east and picking up an old forest road (old Black Mountain Trail) which led back to Long Pond Road. Great trekking in those woods, watch out for big ol' moose though.

As per usual, I had a blast writing up my adventure through the woods and the link will be included down below with photos and a more in-depth review of the day. Enjoy!

Happy climbing!
