Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: We parked at the winter lot on Rt 2. It had 1-2” of new powder on it. The trailhead parking was similar, though there were some pretty deep ruts in the actual parking spots as though it hadn’t been plowed recently, just driven over. There were several cars using the trailhead parking and two of us in the winter lot. Either would be fine for most cars.

Comments
Comments: Started off with snowshoes (though new snow was pretty minimal for the first mile), then switched out of them for the descent off of Starr King so we could sled. We saw 9 people total (including us) all in snowshoes, plus one dog. The trail is in great shape! Depending on how much new snow comes in tonight/tomorrow, snowshoes will probably continue to be the best choice especially on the ridge.

Kilkenny Ridge heading to the Weeks hasn’t seen any action recently, though there looked like there was a faint trough…it could have just been somebody taking a bio break out there, though.
