Wow. Intended on coming up to grab a couple 52 WAV peaks and called an audible upon see the blue sky in the Notch and forecast of light winds. Result- touchdown! Winds were very light, had Lafayette to myself and not a breath of wind during a 15 minute respite. Snowshoes all the way, except for the one sketchy section just off Lafayette heading to the hut. Switched to crampons there and switched back at the hut. Last mile of Bridal is nearly concrete. But that will change of course after tonight. What a blessing today was! |
