Comments
Comments: Powder day...seems like Cannon didn't get as much as points south (a foot+ in the greater Plymouth area, but about 6-10 inches on Cannon from this storm), but nevertheless there is now plenty of snowpack. Lower elevation powder was a bit moist. Needless to say, snowshoes are a must. Saw only two other hikers, and both were obviously wearing snowshoes.

Kinsman Ridge Trail had skinning tracks from the trailhead to the glade crossing (folks earned powder turns before the lifts opened). In between the glade crossings and up to the view spur, unbroken trail with some drifting.

Ski tracks between the view spur and the herd path where skiers come in from the top tram terminal. Kinsman Ridge Trail proper is hard to follow on that ascent, as blazes are covered the trail not evident. No tracks on the Rim Trail/up to the fire tower, but some drifting.

Lots of folks skiing Kinsman Glade (and some skiing DJ's Tramline), despite the Tram not operating today. Cannon had a sell-out crowd today and is asking for $35 million from taxpayers for a new tram (despite this one only being halfway through its engineered life), but nevertheless kept the "signature lift" closed (the summit chairlift was operating). Go figure.
