Took my 25 year old ultra trail running son on todays Golden ticket adventure. No shame in allowing him to lead the whole way. Certainly needed his power to get up as quickly as we did. I would have struggled mightily on the side hill section without him. It’s in fairly good shape after our out n back. And we met Elijah on way out so he’ll add another solid set of snowshoes. No one else today, likely others chose fire wardens instead. This trail is in decent shape but there is a ton of soft snow so broken out doesn’t mean doable in spikes at this time. |
