Comments
Comments: Original plan was South Baldface via Slippery Brook, but after seeing a conga line of backcountry skiers headed up to ski the glades, I decided to go the other way - wanted some solitude. Trail is completely packed out until the junction to the circle trail. However, on the way back you could see the postholes starting.

The circle trail headed towards North Baldface was completely unbroken - no sign of anyone going that way. The first river crossing after the junction was sketchy and prob will suck in the coming weeks with the warmer spring weather bringing snow melt. Decided to take Bicknell Ridge up, cause if I didn't make North Baldface/Eagle Crag, at least I'd get some views at Eagle Cascade junction. Bicknell is pretty mild, but tis extremely slow going having to break 1-2 feet of unpacked wet snow out. I am very fit and can usually maintain at least 2 mph uphill while breaking trail but this was super exhausting, and took me nearly an hour to make it a mile. Made it to Eagle Cascade junction in a little under 2.5 hours and decided to turn around. Would of probably taken another 1-2 hrs to hit the ridge, then another 1-2 to hit North Baldface. Didn't really have it in me after shoveling the driveway yesterday. Def would've been helpful to have a buddy take turns in front to lessen the pain. Only took about 1 hr 15 mins to get back down. Ran into a couple starting the full loop at 1230 (lol, wonder how far they'll get).
