 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parked in the winter lot. A few spots left at 10:30am upon arrival, and about half full when I left around 1pm. Of note, a Mazda had a difficult time getting out and needed a push (unclear if they had snow tires), but my FWD with snow tires had no issues. A 4WD truck was stuck in the regular lot and was working on digging itself out. Wouldn’t recommend until there’s some snow melt. |

 | Comments: |
A beautifully packed snowshoe track until I came upon a group of 4 cotton-wearing bare booters near the summit, and 2 more groups of 2 with microspikes ascending as I was descending. Fortunately, there were 5 folks with snowshoes behind them that will hopefully fill in the holes, some of which were waist deep, although not sure if they were only going to Starr King. Thanks for all who packed this out, resulting in mostly fast conditions. |
