a few of the small streams were showing and needed to be avoided, the main crossing at the gem pool was bridged as well as the one on top of the steep section |

Copper had a blast and was the only dog on the trail (that we have seen) |

very unpacked trail, I was happy that a few snowshoers were ahead of me and doing the heavy lifting. I was passed by two people from Quebec in microspikes, commenting on how nice it was that snowshoers broke the trail (really...) aside from these two idiots, everybody had snowshoes and that made the trail some good. We stopped at the hut because of visibility (near zero) but it seemed to clear somewhat on our way down. It was difficult to follow the trail above tree line and we drifted too much to the right, hopefully no one will follow our tracks. Overall, a good day outside with my favorite hiking buddy, Copper. |
