HUGE thank you to those who broke out the trail yesterday! There were plenty of people in snowshoes who were working to make it fast, but unfortunately just as many barebooters tearing it up. A few were postholing knee-deep or more, others were just sinking 3-6in but it was enough to make going rough at times.. and a few twisted ankles in the deeper ones. Fortunately, only those with snowshoes made the trek to Eisenhower so that trail was in much better shape. Easy to follow the entire way. As long as it doesn't get too torn up and we get some cold weather, this trail should be in great shape by next weekend. |
