Comments
Comments: Great day to be outside! We headed up Valley Way after tracks of some bare booters. I had new snowshoes to try out so wore them up to the hut. Donned micro spikes at that point to finish the climb to the summit cone. The wind was wicked. MWObs reported 46.7mph average this morning so it was a little less then that but I received free micro dermabrasion from the snow and wind. For this I am thankful!

Once we picked our way back down to the hut we were greeted by none other than the Madison Moose that I have been reading about. She was standing there looking amused at my dog, Kali's attempts to warn her that one step closer and Kali was going to turn into 48 pounds of pain. We watched for a bit then got too cold and headed down. There were new EMS slidy sleds to try out so we made a fun and dashing descent. We didnt make it out until dark but were not worried at all. It was a fun, non-traditional Thanksgiving and I wouldn't have had it any other way. Thank you Erik!
