Comments
Comments: Tom and I got turned back for the first time this winter due to a combination of things, but mainly it being just the two of us out there breaking trail. Trail is deceivingly in great shape from the parking lot, a little more difficult after the ski trail branches off, and then about a mile in the snow drifts completely took over. It was basically a 1 foot wide monorail that is under powder, and if you don’t hit it you sink to your knee. We made it about two miles in before deciding to wave the white flag, knowing it was only going to get tougher and I have to guide today so I couldn’t completely gas myself to break the trail for him.

There was one other person behind us headed out for an overnight. Not sure how his day ended up.
