Comments
Comments: Great trail. Used spikes all the way up to Pierce. Out to Eisenhower and back, snowshoes were the best choice. Great day. Nice and quiet. Hit the trail at 3:45am hoping for a sunrise but Pierce was cloud covered. Saw the sun approaching Eisenhower. Back on Pierce I got some nice views of Washington. I think by the time I made it down to the parking lot, Pierce was probably pretty clear. Winds were pretty stiff on Eisenhower and in just a few spots crossing from Pierce to Eisenhower. Brought the sled and was able to slide down probably 60% of the trail from the top of Pierce down to the Connector. Beginning about 1/2 way down from Pierce, saw a total of about 15 folk headed up. Just a nice day finishing at 9:41am.
