Old Mountain Road had been postholed by a barebooter in the warmer weather yesterday. Looks like a small group of postholers came up from the Route 113 side.
Crawford Ridgepole Trail was a postholed disaster due to seeing less traffic and being prone to drifting (thus even less consolidation). Awful.
Snowpack is probably 2 to 4 feet.
Other than the awful trail conditions, it was a beautiful morning on the ridge with clear skies, sun, and temperatures climbing to the low 30s. |
