Comments
Comments: Bareboots only on the trail today. I'd recommend gaiters. Full but thin slush down low; mid to upper sections a half slush/wet snow, and it's not sticky at all. There are bare spots on the ridge and peak. Even being the first to go up to south peak since the snow we found only a few inches of very wet snow except for a couple of minor drifts which were semi consolidated.

The main peak was in thin clouds as forecast, but winds were a steady 17 mph which was much less than forecast. Temps in the 40s on top.

There was very little wind on south peak or the ridge and none below. South peak was clear and we even had some spot sun. I hiked in a T mostly except on the peak and ridge. We ran into a fair number of people, but not all that many considering it was Moosilauke on a Sat. Comfy and easy day to offset the clouds and slush.
