The Davis Path and Crawford Spur are both broken out although the path to the best viewpoint is drifted in so be sure to hike out to it. Once you get to the ledges around 2700', the trail can be a little hard to follow because all the markings (ducks) are buried under snow and people have wandered off to the right and left. A GPS app is probably advisable. Snowshoes are a must. By early afternoon the snow had turned to slush and postholers were chewing it up. Sigh. Views from the summit and surrounding ledges were just plain incredible today. I also enjoyed speaking with several kindred spirits. |
