Comments
Comments: Excellent hike, perfect weather window, bluebird sunny day. Wore snowshoes beginning to end, probably could have just used microspikes in the morning before it warmed, the trail was nice and crunchy packed, lots of traction. Warmed significantly and that coupled with the sun made the descent back down soft and mushy, like dry mashed potatoes. Funny seeing a few people in microspikes sliding past, and I slid a few sections just because it was easier. Lots of postholing higher up, and lots more I saw on the way back down. Too lazy to do Lincoln today, but great memory, crossed Lafayette off finally.
