 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We parked at the gate on Hall’s Mill Rd. We parked right next to it but there was a plowed out area opposite that I think was where you’re supposed to park. Room for around four cars there. I think there was only one when we returned. Small parking area for four or so cars on Bald Hill Rd by the Mraz Trail. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |

|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Otis Hill Trail was blazed occasionally in blue. Byrne Trail was blazed in yellow. All parts of Mraz Trail were blazed in white except for the northern half of the loop had the white SELT diamonds on them like the trails I saw last week in Stonehouse Forest had. I don’t recall if Byrne Spur was marked. Small SELT trail signs just like those seen in the Stonehouse Forest marked all trail jcts quite well. I don’t think there were any blowdowns that hadn’t been taken care of. |

A nice SNH redline with dad :) We went up Otis Hill Trail, down Byrne Trail to the gate, I did an OAB to the road along the Rockingham Rail Trail since the guidebook describes it as a spur with a distance, then back north along Byrne Trail, then Mraz south out to the road, Mraz north back to Byrne, OAB on the short section of Byrne between the north and south loops, then north on Byrne Trail to the gate, Byrne Spur out to Neal Mill Rd, and walk back along the road to the car. Snowshoes not needed and although spikes would have been perfect in some spots in the morning with the packed trail, they weren’t necessary and wouldn’t have been helpful in other spots. I didn’t regret leaving them in the car. Some bare ground with some mud and wetness as well. Nothing to slow you down much though. I enjoyed the boardwalks especially the wildlife viewing area along Byrne Spur which is now not so much a spur as you can use it to make a loop. Gaia had me at 6mi, 225ft of gain, including the OAB to Rt 87 along the Rail Trail. |
