Comments
Comments: Hiked a direct line (more or less) to the summit. A short distance into the woods, I started following some blue flagging; it was going approximately my direction. About half way up, I crossed snowshoe tracks perpendicular to my direction of travel. The flagging stopped, but I stayed on my course. At the summit, I could see that the snowshoe track had taken a more gradual ascent around the summit. I followed these tracks down to the point where my tracks crossed, and completed by B/W back to my car following my snowshoe prints.

The woods were covered with 3-4" of heavy powder over a deeper (about a foot) crusty snow. Fortunately, the base was mostly supportive, and I only broke through the crust about every 8-10 steps.
