Comments: Mt Field (Willey and Tom)

On trail around 7:30 and happy to see that one hiker had broken the trail. By 8:30 there were several more hikers on trail, all wearing snowshoes, and making a nice packed trail to Mt Field summit. On my way down on Avalon Trail, I saw two hikers bare footing it and creating terrible postholes. So much for the reward of a nice descent after a long day.

I did not climb Tom or Willey, but I heard from several other hikers that there lots of spruce traps between Field and Willey and Tom Spur and some detours off the trail.
