Comments
Comments: So...the trail is in rough condition. I wore snowshoes the entire time, but the trail is chewed to bits with postholing and wet, sticky snow. My snowshoes needed to be cleared several times. I only saw one other party, both in bareboots on the deepest snow/steepest section. They said they wore snowshoes on the way up, which is great! Just a PSA that while snowshoes up and spikes/boots down may feel safer, it left a very difficult trail in worse shape than before. :( Snow is pretty deep the last mile and the trail was only 1 snow shoe wide, definitely mostly made by people in bareboots.
